Vehicle registration in the district building during closure for unannounced public traffic: More appointments due to change in procedure from April 14

Due to the corona crisis, the vehicle registration office in the Ludwigsburg district building and all branch offices are still closed to all unannounced public traffic until further notice. Personal contacts are only possible in the Ludwigsburg district building and only by prior appointment. This is intended to contain the further spread of the COVID-19 virus and protect customers, employees and their families. In order to increase the number of possible appointments, the Ludwigsburg licensing authority is changing the previous procedure from Tuesday, April 14: Customers will then have the opportunity to make an appointment to hand in their documents.

The image features various vehicle license plates, prominently displaying the letters "LB" and the letter "D," along with a vehicle registration document in a green color. The documents and plates are arranged closely together, emphasizing their importance in vehicle identification.

Only one process is possible per appointment. Appointments are primarily made online on the website of the vehicle registration office www.landkreis-ludwigsburg.de/de/verkehr-sicherheit-ordnung/auto-kfz/kfz-zulassungsbehoerde/ and are only possible for two weeks in advance. When submitting the documents, you can decide whether you would like to collect them from the registration office after processing or receive the documents by post (registered mail).

Customers should ensure that their documents are complete. The process can only be processed if all the necessary documents are available at the appointment. The required documents are listed on the appointment confirmation. This confirmation must be handed in at the appointment together with the completed SEPA mandate and the registration documents. The registration authority reserves the right to refuse to accept a registration application if documents are missing (in this case, the appointment will be forfeited). In their own interest, customers should be punctual, otherwise their appointment will also expire.

For processes related to the maintenance of the critical infrastructure in accordance with the Corona Ordinance of the State of Baden-Württemberg dated March 17, 2020, those affected can contact us by e-mail at KFZ.ZULASSUNG[at]landkreis-ludwigsburg.de to the vehicle registration office.

If it is not possible to make an appointment online, the vehicle registration office is available to answer your questions by telephone from Monday to Friday on 07141 144-2066 from 7:30 am to 12:00 pm.
