Youth conference in the district hall under the motto "What moves us"

Around 50 young people from the towns and municipalities in the district of Ludwigsburg presented their forms of youth participation and provided information about upcoming projects at the youth conference in the district hall on March 19. The young people then discussed issues such as public transport, meeting places for young people, education policy and digital infrastructure with politicians from the Baden-Württemberg state parliament and the Ludwigsburg district council.

The image presents two categories labeled "Gut" (Good) and "Schlecht" (Bad). Under "Gut," there are positive points about growing social media presence and successful initiatives. Under "Schlecht," challenges include ineffective applications and lack of initiative.

Young people present their projects

The main purpose of the youth conference was to bring together committed young people from the various towns and municipalities at district level to exchange ideas and generate ideas for the Youth Day. Anja Beckmann, Head of the Children, Youth and Family Department at the district administration office, was delighted with the large number of participants and said: "Unfortunately, it is becoming increasingly difficult to find committed young people." She thanked all those present for their voluntary commitment and also emphasized the role model role that the young people play. The youth conference, the results of which are incorporated into the state youth parliament, is a joint project of the Baden-Württemberg state parliament and the state youth council.

The "World Café" method was used for the discussion: Discussions are held at themed tables in alternating small groups so that everyone can have their say. At each of the tables, a group leader provides impetus for discussion and reflection. Participating politicians included members of the state parliament Daniel Renkonen (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen) and Jürgen Keck (FDP), former member of the state parliament Klaus Herrmann (CDU), as well as members of the district council.
