International Day of Carers on May 12 - District Administrator Allgaier: "A meaningful activity"

The International Day of Carers takes place on May 12 and is intended to help focus attention on the importance of professional care every year. This importance has been impressively demonstrated in recent weeks. Under special conditions, employees in care facilities, clinics and outpatient care services have made an important contribution to containing the spread of the coronavirus and at the same time providing the best possible care for people in need of care in the Ludwigsburg district. "The fact that a career in nursing is a meaningful and sought-after occupation has become more than clear in recent weeks," says District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier.

Especially at the beginning of the pandemic, many people applauded the nursing staff every evening. However, nurses would probably be even happier if their workforce were to grow over the next few years. This is why the campaign for the new, generalist nursing training is under the motto "When, if not now". This training was fundamentally reformed this year. The training courses in geriatric, nursing and paediatric nursing have been combined into one generalist training course.

Further information on generalist nursing training and all inpatient and outpatient care providers in the Ludwigsburg district that offer training can be found at the following link: https://www.landkreis-ludwigsburg.de/de/soziales-jugend-familie/pflege-senioren/pflegeberufe-im-landkreis/ on the Internet.
