"You have the perfect blend of social values and strategic and organizational qualities. You have known how to apply this both in your professional environment and in your voluntary work," said District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier in recognition of Vossler's work. The District Administrator presented the Federal Cross of Merit on Ribbon on behalf of Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. Vossler's heartfelt concern had always been the creation of care places close to home with a feel-good factor. This is why he developed the concept of the community care home - a concept that was so successful that it was expanded to 21 locations in six districts over the years, including two locations in the Ludwigsburg district: in Mundelsheim and Ludwigsburg-Eglosheim. "Over the years, its concept has been adopted by more and more providers and has found its way into numerous towns and communities," says the district administrator.
Just as he has always focused on care close to home, he has never lost contact with his parents' home town of Nadyezhdovka/Ukraine. As Federal Chairman of the Bessarabian-German Association, the former deacon was just as committed to international understanding as he was to promoting encounters between young people; a museum of German history, the modernization of his parents' home town and the establishment of the Bessarabia Foundation, which was able to finance numerous aid projects, are just a handful of other examples of Günther Vossler's commitment. It is true that most of his professional life was spent in the Rems-Murr district. "What makes me particularly proud as District Administrator of Ludwigsburg is that your professional foundation stone was laid here in Ludwigsburg at Karlshöhe, as this is where you completed your training as a deacon," said District Administrator Allgaier.
