Transparent production: Schmalzried family celebrates farm festival

As part of the state's "Transparent Production" campaign, the Schmalzried family invites visitors to their farm on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Here, visitors can discover a wide range of agricultural activities including arable farming, viticulture, laying hen farming, Scottish Highland cattle and direct marketing.

Interested visitors can take part in guided tours of the farm on May 1 at 1 p.m. and May 2 at 3 p.m., each of which will be supplemented by an informative tour of the fields (registration required: melanie.schmalzried@t-online.de). At the same time, a machine exhibition offers the opportunity to take a close look at the technology used. There will also be an entertaining children's program for the youngest guests. In addition, an information stand from the Middle Neckar Nutrition Center will enrich the event on 2 May with valuable information on conscious nutrition.

Culinary offer

On May 1, the day will start with a veal sausage breakfast from 10 am to 12 noon. Hot food, a selection of drinks and coffee and cake will be on offer later on. On May 2, visitors will be served various hot dishes and a selection of drinks.
