Court ruling: VGH suspends quarantine regulation for household members of contact persons of a person infected with a coronavirus variant until further notice

In a decision announced today, the Administrative Court of Justice (VGH) of Baden-Württemberg has suspended the quarantine regulation for household members of contact persons of a person infected with a coronavirus variant. This means that this regulation may no longer be applied until further notice.

Previously, according to the "Corona Ordinance on Isolation", household members of a Category 1 contact person or the Cluster Student category also had to go into quarantine if a virus variant was detected in the person who tested positive. The quarantine of household members of contact persons in category 1 or the cluster pupil category ended at the end of the contact person's quarantine period after notification by the competent authority. As a result of the VGH decision, all those affected who belong to the aforementioned group of people can now leave quarantine.

The district office assumes that the state will adapt its "Corona Ordinance on Isolation" accordingly.

Anyone who has questions on the subject can contact the district office's coronavirus citizens' hotline on 07141 144-69400.
