The flood risk situation in the Ludwigsburg district remains acute. "Even if there is currently no heavy rainfall, we still expect the water level of the Rems and Murr to rise," says District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier. The management team is working intensively to monitor the situation and coordinate the emergency services. A total of around 250 firefighters are working in the Ludwigsburg district. In Remseck, the peak of the Rems has not yet been reached and the water level is still rising slightly. All municipalities bordering the Neckar, Rems and Murr rivers have been informed and asked to set up their local crisis teams and prepare for a possible 100-year flood. The Kleeblatt nursing home in Steinheim was already evacuated this morning. The residents were distributed to other care homes. In Steinheim, the Riedhalle is available for affected residents.
