Soccer connects: Integrative Mini World Cup 2026 in Ludwigsburg

Under the motto "Football connects - strengthening integration", the Kreisjugendring (KJR) and the Ludwigsburg District Office are organizing a special soccer tournament on Saturday, 6 June 2026: the Mini World Cup 2026. Young adults with refugee experience and young people from the region will compete for the title together at the Ludwig-Jahn-Stadion (Bebenhäuser Str. 35, Ludwigsburg).

The small-sided tournament promises fast, dynamic matches starting at 11:00: Eight teams will compete in a knockout system (5 against 5), with each game lasting exactly eight minutes. The aim of the cooperation partners is to create uncomplicated encounters through a shared passion for sport, to break down barriers and to strengthen togetherness in the district.

Register individually or as a team

"On the pitch, it doesn't matter what language you speak or where you come from. Soccer is a universal language that brings people together immediately," emphasizes Daniel Christmann from Kreisjugendring Ludwigsburg. "With the Mini World Cup, we want to use precisely this unifying power to break down fears of contact, build trust and simply have fun playing sport together."

Interested young adults can register individually or as a team. The organizers will accept registrations and queries by email:

Spectators are very welcome to come and cheer them on. Admission is free.
