Questions and answers about the Ludwigsburg corona test center: The easiest way to make an appointment and get your test result

"We repeatedly observe that a lack of knowledge about the organization and procedure of corona testing causes misunderstandings and, as a result, resentment among the population. That's why we want to provide more information about the procedure," says Dr. Thomas Schönauer, Head of Health at the Ludwigsburg District Office.

The Ludwigsburg coronavirus test center is located 50 meters to the right of the main entrance to Ludwigsburg Hospital and is signposted. "Despite all the adverse circumstances, our corona test center at Ludwigsburg Hospital is working very well and quite smoothly. We would like to thank Dr. Kolepke and his team for the great commitment with which they are ensuring corona testing for the residents of the district," says Dr. Carola Maitra, the pandemic officer of the Baden-Württemberg Association of Statutory Health Insurance Physicians (KVBW).

Tests for travel returnees are free of charge until mid-September, after that only for returnees from designated risk areas. Tests at your own request or at the employer's request without symptoms will be charged privately. Tests for teachers and educators with a certificate of authorization can still be carried out free of charge until the end of September. These tests can be carried out at the test center, but also at all GP practices that offer them.

The easiest way to make appointments for corona tests is online on the website "Corona-Teststelle-Ludwigsburg.de" or by calling 07141 908997. The opening hours are adapted to demand and can be found on the website. Important and up-to-date information can also be found here.

The easiest way to receive your test result is via the "Corona Warn App": the laboratory transmits it to the phone of the person being tested. The tracking part of the Warn app does not need to be activated for this. Everyone will receive written instructions at the test site on how to download the app. The results can also be collected in writing from the test center or from Dr. Kolepke's practice at Erlachhofstraße 1 in 71640 Ludwigsburg. However, this can take up to a week. Unfortunately, it is not possible to send the test results or inform you of the results by telephone due to the large number of tests. The waiting time for the test result is no longer 24 hours due to the workload of the laboratories caused by the many people returning from travel, but currently at least 48 to 72 hours, not including weekends. All those responsible ask for your understanding.

Please note: The results are initially sent directly from the laboratory to the person tested. The test center has no influence on the speed of the transmission of results after the test has been taken. If a test result takes longer than a week to arrive, please contact the test center, which will then research the result for the person concerned. It is possible that the result has not arrived on their app due to a transmission error from the laboratory. In any case, the public health department will notify the person concerned immediately if the test result is positive.

A negative test result ends the quarantine for travel returnees. This does not apply to contact persons of proven positive patients. A quarantine information sheet is available at the test center and can be viewed on the website. Further questions about quarantine and isolation or the procedure for positive test results in schools are not the responsibility of the Corona test center, but of the health department, information at the citizen hotline health department: 07141 144-69400 or on the homepage of the Ludwigsburg district office www.landkreis-ludwigsburg.de.
