On November 12, 2024, the third round of the project will start in the Ludwigsburg district with a kick-off event. There are still a few places available - interested companies and institutions of all sizes can register here until mid-September: klimaschutz[at]landkreis-ludwigsburg.de.
Participants draw up greenhouse gas balance sheet
The participating companies will draw up their greenhouse gas balance sheet over the course of the approximately 9-month period. This forms the core of sustainability reporting in accordance with the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive). The CSRD is an EU directive that has been in force since 2023 and obliges certain companies to disclose their environmental and social impacts.
The greenhouse gas balance serves as a basis for companies to measure their climate impact and identify measures to increase energy efficiency. The KLIMAfit workshops also promote the exchange of ideas. After successful participation, the companies are awarded the title of KLIMAfit company.
Background: KLIMAfit network project
KLIMAfit is a funding programme of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Environment, Climate Protection and the Energy Sector, which offers companies of all sectors and sizes as well as other organizations in Baden-Württemberg a low-threshold and structured introduction to the topic of climate protection and energy saving. The district of Ludwigsburg assumes the role of network provider and Arqum GmbH acts as network consultant.
