Recording infected persons and contact tracing seven days a week is "an enormously important element in combating the pandemic in view of the rapidly increasing number of cases", says Dr. Ulrike Rangwich-Fellendorf, deputy head of the health department.
Andy Dorroch, Head of the Civil Protection Department at Ludwigsburg District Office, adds: "The collaboration is working smoothly and everyone has got to grips with the situation very quickly." With the sharp rise in the number of new infections, the need for staff in the health department's coronavirus team has also grown significantly, which can now be met with the short-term deployment of the Franco-German brigade, initially planned until February 22.
Info: The Health Department's coronavirus team currently consists of around 70 full-time employees. In addition, there are now 14 soldiers from the German Armed Forces.
