Excavation work for the construction of the new company daycare center of the district administration office

On Friday (12.04.), members of the district council, planners and architects as well as employees of the district administration gave the signal for the start of construction work on the Ludwigsburg district administration's company daycare center with a public excavation ceremony.

An excavator digs into the ground on a grassy area, with a crowd of people watching in the background. In the distance, a modern building stands alongside older architectural structures. The setting appears to be an outdoor event or ceremony.

District Administrator Dr. Rainer Haas welcomed the participants and said: "The shortage of skilled workers also affects us - we want to further increase our attractiveness as an employer through the company daycare center and strengthen the compatibility of family and career." The daycare center is expected to open in October 2020.

The new daycare center is to be built on the grounds of the district administration office, on the green area next to the buildings at Hindenburgstraße 20/2 and 20/3. The new building is being planned as a solid construction with two levels and will accommodate a total of 35 to 40 children from the age of 1 in three groups in the new daycare center. The first floor will accommodate two groups, each with ten children under the age of three, while the upper floor will house a mixed-age group with 15 to 20 children. The planning office KMB GmbH from Ludwigsburg was commissioned with the planning. The current cost estimate is 2.94 million euros. The "Johanniter Unfall-Hilfe e.V." was found as the responsible body through a Europe-wide tender. The contract is to be awarded by the district council at today's meeting.

The places in the daycare center will be available for children of employees of the district administration office and children of state employees of the district administration office. Ten places are also provided for children whose primary residence is in Ludwigsburg. In return, the city of Ludwigsburg has pledged a construction investment grant of a maximum of one million euros.
