As part of the renovation, the asphalt surface course along the open stretch will be milled off and renewed. Damage to the base course will also be repaired in places. In the junction area in front of the Müller tree nursery, the traffic dividers will be adjusted. The K 1664 will also be resurfaced from the junction to the junction with Nordstraße.
The district road will be repaired in three construction phases. The first section concerns the K 1664 in the direction of Neckarweihingen. It begins at the junction with Nordstraße and extends to the junction at the tree nursery. This section is expected to last one week and will be fully closed during the construction period.
In the second section, the K 1695 from the end of Poppenweiler to the junction with the K 1601 towards Marbach-Hörnle will be repaired. During this section, which will also be fully closed for around a week, the Müller tree nursery will only be accessible from the direction of Poppenweiler, while the Marbach district of Hörnle will only be accessible from the direction of Marbach Süd or Eichgraben.
The third and final section extends from the junction to Hörnle to the traffic circle at the fire station in Marbach. In this section, the Hörnle can only be reached from the direction of Poppen-weiler or via Eichgraben.
Bus services between Marbach and Poppenweiler or Hörnle will be restricted during sections 2 and 3. Passengers should inform themselves about timetable changes in good time.
If everything goes according to plan, the road renovation will be completed by mid-October.
The district has earmarked around 400,000 euros for the project.
The district authority asks all road users and residents for their understanding for the disruptions and restrictions.
