From March 1: Appointments for Nuvaxovid vaccine can be booked - start for the protein-based vaccine is on March 3 and 4

The protein-based vaccine Nuvaxovid from the manufacturer Novavax will arrive in the Ludwigsburg district this week. There will then be 7,400 vaccine doses available for the vaccination centers and doctors in private practice. Half of these must be held back for second vaccinations. Appointments for vaccination with the Nuvaxovid vaccine can be booked from March 1 via the homepage of the district administration office.

The vaccine will initially be available for those population groups for whom a facility-based vaccination requirement will apply from March 16. This applies, for example, to people who work in hospitals, doctors' surgeries or the emergency services. Detailed information can be found in the Infection Protection Act.

The vaccine is administered via the vaccination centers in the Ludwigsburg district. Appointments for the vaccination centers can be booked from March 1 via the homepage of the district office using the following link: https://termin.kizlb.de. Vaccinations will start in the vaccination centers from March 4, in some cases already on March 3.

Appointments for second vaccinations are usually made on site three weeks after the first vaccination. Vaccinations with mRNA vaccines are still possible at all vaccination centers.

Vaccination is also possible via doctors in private practice. They vaccinate on their own responsibility. An overview of participating doctors is published on the district's homepage (landkreis-ludwigsburg.de/corona-impfung). The start of vaccinations at doctors in private practice has not yet been determined.

At the same time, mobile teams are currently visiting homes and care facilities on behalf of the Ludwigsburg district office to offer special vaccination appointments with Nuvaxovid.
