525 years of the town of Sachsenheim: Of knights and romances - exhibition in the district hall until July 22nd

Sachsenheim is celebrating its 525th anniversary this year: at the Imperial Diet of Worms in 1495, Knight Hermann von Sachsenheim was granted town and market rights for Großsachsenheim by the German Emperor. The late medieval heyday under the knightly dynasty of the Lords of Sachsenheim therefore forms the thematic focus of the "Regional Window" in the foyer of the Ludwigsburg district hall.

The image features a display area showcasing historical artifacts. On the left, glass cases hold various items and documents. To the right, a large banner depicts a building, while a suit of armor stands next to it, holding a shield with a red emblem.

The exhibition is set up as a showcase display in the district hall foyer.

The exhibition can be seen there until July 22 as a small showcase exhibition during the general opening hours of the Kreishaus. Visitors should note that the wearing of face masks is mandatory in this area. The distancing and hygiene rules must also be observed.

In the "Regional Window", visitors can study facsimiles and reprints of the city charter, the Minneroman and the late medieval manuscript in detail. Many other original objects relating to the varied history of Sachsenheim from the Stone Age to the present day can also be found in the Sachsenheim Town Museum (reopened on May 31), which has put together this exhibition.
