The topic of the fourth inclusion conference is an important one, continued the head of the district administration. After all, it can be observed that more and more people want to travel. "It is important to take different life situations into account: People with and without disabilities, families or singles, senior citizens or people with and without a migration background. Some people have special needs. The tourism industry, in turn, is also interested in positioning itself accordingly. Tourism for All' was only recently included as a new component in the new tourism concept of the state of Baden-Württemberg," stated the head of the district administration.
Werner Pohl, journalist and expert on accessibility in tourism, reported on his travel experiences in a presentation. Good examples from the district of Ludwigsburg were presented, such as the inclusive city walk in the town of Besigheim or the cooperation between the town of Markgröningen and Habila GmbH. In cooperation with Managing Director Elmar Kunz from Tourismus & Events Ludwigsburg, there were opportunities to exchange experiences. The aim of the conference was to stimulate discussions, promote networks and provide impetus.
Inclusion conferences are a fixed event format of the district in order to promote the topic of 'inclusion' in broad areas of society. Mayors, district councillors, interest groups representing people with disabilities and their relatives, tourism organizations, as well as organizations from the fields of culture, sport, public transport, the Chamber of Industry and Commerce, schools and social institutions and many other institutions are therefore invited.
The aim of the conferences is to further develop inclusive processes and structures in certain key areas throughout the district in close cooperation with all stakeholders and to anchor them as sustainably as possible.
