He particularly emphasized the lively student exchanges between four schools in the district and their Israeli partner schools. "Democratic attitudes, tolerance and critical thinking are developed in childhood and adolescence," said District Administrator Allgaier. This is precisely where the PKC comes in with its various learning opportunities for children and young people. He is therefore optimistic about the situation in the district, despite the regrettable resurgence of anti-Semitism in Germany. According to Allgaier, the PKC has played a large part in this.
The keynote speech at the 35th foundation celebration of the Freudental Pedagogical-Cultural Center was given this year by senior public prosecutor Jens Rommel. As head of the Central Office of the State Justice Administrations for the Investigation of National Socialist Crimes, which is based in Ludwigsburg, he reported on the historical handling of National Socialist crimes from the 1960s to the present day in his lecture "History in Court". In his lecture, he addressed the difficulties of coming to terms with the past and explained what lessons still need to be learned from the past today.
