"Strong Women. Strong Families." Action Day in Remseck

Am 16.11.2026 von 14:00 bis 18:00 Uhr

Under the motto “Strong Women. Strong Families,” an event for women, families, and anyone interested will take place on Monday, November 16, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Haus der Bürger, Neckarstraße 56, in Remseck am Neckar. As part of the statewide “MACH DICH STARK” Days, the equal opportunity officers for the labor market at the Ludwigsburg District Job Center and the Ludwigsburg Employment Agency, together with the Ludwigsburg District Equal Opportunity Officer, invite you to an informative and varied family afternoon. The City of Remseck am Neckar is a partner in this initiative.

Empowering children also means empowering families and women. This is because children’s opportunities in life and their future prospects are closely linked to the living conditions of their families—especially those of women. Financial burdens, a lack of childcare options, or difficulties returning to the workforce can make everyday family life more challenging. The Day of Action therefore aims to highlight opportunities, facilitate access to support services, and take a stand against child poverty and for greater equality of opportunity.

Information, Counseling, and Discussion All in One Place

At various information and counseling booths, visitors can learn about topics such as balancing family and work, child care, re-entering the workforce, continuing education, health and nutrition, as well as financial and social support services. In addition, there will be presentations on selected topics.

Specialists from various organizations will be available to answer questions and engage in personal conversations. The food bank van will also be on site. The goal is to raise awareness of existing services, break down barriers, and easily connect families with the right people to help them.

Children Are Also a Focus

There’s a special program for younger visitors: In addition to childcare, a creative painting activity on the topic of children’s rights is planned. During a small “Power-Up” rally, children can visit various stations and fill their “Power-Up” bags with little surprises.

A visible statement against violence against women

On the day of the event, an orange bench will be unveiled at the Haus der Bürger, where it will remain permanently. It serves as a visible symbol against violence against women and draws attention to existing help and support services. Remseck Mayor Dirk Schönberger will be present at the unveiling and will deliver opening remarks.

Violence against women affects not only the victims themselves but often their families as well. Children who witness violence may experience impaired development and a diminished sense of security. Protection from violence is therefore a crucial part of empowering women, children, and families.

Working Together to Combat Child Poverty

Child poverty means more than just a lack of money. It can affect education, health, and social participation. This makes it all the more important to support families early on and open up new opportunities for them.

With this day of action, the organizers aim to highlight the importance of collaboration among various organizations and low-threshold support services in the local community. After all, strong women and empowered families help ensure that children have better opportunities for their future. All families and interested individuals are warmly invited.
