The inner-local construction section in Mundelsheim, from the entrance to the village to the junction with Karl-Epple-Straße, has already been undergoing renovation work since this week. The first construction section outside the town was completed on schedule.
For the municipalities of Mundelsheim and Hessigheim, the Neckar Valley cycle path between the two towns will now also be resurfaced from April 17.
Both the out-of-town section and the Mundelsheim through road are still closed to through traffic. However, the district road can be used to cultivate the vineyards along the K 1677.
The detour of through traffic remains in place. In addition, a detour has now also been set up for cycle traffic. Cyclists will now have to leave the familiar route of the Neckar Valley cycle path in Mundelsheim and will be routed past the outdoor pool and the building yard on the newly renovated K 1677 as they leave the town. The actual route of the Neckar Valley Cycle Route will only be resumed in Hessigheim.
The district administration office asks all road users to continue to show understanding for possible obstructions during this second construction phase, especially in the detour area.
