Numerous taster days are available at www.firmensommer.de. With just a few clicks, students can get an overview of the diverse range of professions offered by companies, institutions and facilities in a wide variety of sectors.
During the taster days, they can then get to know numerous training occupations and also some dual study courses at local employers. "For example, the program includes guided tours of the company, discussions with trainees and sometimes you can even lend a hand yourself," reports Beate Jacobsen from the summer company team.
Pupils can already get an overview of numerous taster days on the platform. More will be added continuously until the summer vacation.
Participation certificate looks good in the application portfolio
Pupils are often surprised at what is actually behind the individual professions. A job that previously held little interest can become a new favorite or the supposed dream job may not be as dreamy as assumed.
Every participant is covered by accident and liability insurance through the district and receives a certificate of participation, which looks good in their application portfolio. Companies can present themselves as interesting employers. Early contact between employers and future trainees is becoming increasingly important, especially in times when apprenticeships often remain unfilled. "We are always pleased when we hear from employers that they got to know their trainees through the company summer," says Hiltraut Vieth from the company summer team.
The internet platform was made possible with the kind support of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Economic Affairs. The cooperation partner is the Fachkräfteallianz Landkreis Ludwigsburg.
Further information on the company summer is available at www.firmensommer.de on the Internet or by calling 07141 144-2028.
