The economic development managers from nine towns in the district and the district administration office took part in the exchange. The participants were welcomed by Kai Langenecker, Technical Councillor of the town of Korntal-Münchingen. He emphasized how important close inter-municipal cooperation is for the successful further development of the business location. In line with this, one thematic focus was on the lighthouse projects that are being implemented in cooperation with the municipalities: for example, the district-wide craftsmen's parking permit, new forms of joint location marketing or future networking events.
Business development in dialog: Strategies and current challenges
In addition to the future strategy, the discussions also focused on the current demand for commercial space, innovative approaches to space development and the impact of the economy on the labor market. The participants also talked about current developments and projects from their respective municipalities: from measures to revitalize city centres and approaches to network promotion to the effects of the current tight public budgets on the work of business development. Oliver Reichert, District Economic Development Manager in the Ludwigsburg district, finds this exchange of experience particularly valuable: "We all benefit from sharing our expertise and tackling challenges together instead of everyone working on their own."
The regular meeting of the business development group serves to promote close exchange within the network and strengthens cooperation between the municipal business development agencies in the district of Ludwigsburg. It is organized several times a year by the Ludwigsburg district economic development agency and takes place in different host municipalities.
