AI as a Competitive Advantage: Harnessing Potential and Setting the Course for Tomorrow Through Training

How can small and medium-sized businesses successfully leverage digitalization, artificial intelligence, and automation—while also preparing their employees for the future? Answers to these questions will be provided at the practical event “AI as a Competitive Advantage” on November 18, 2026, starting at 4:30 p.m. at the Salamander-Areal in Kornwestheim.

The event “AI as a Competitive Factor” will take place on November 18 (Ludwigsburg District Office).

Artificial intelligence is no longer just a topic for the future; it has become a genuine competitive advantage. Although the use of artificial intelligence is a key factor in optimizing processes, improving product quality, and saving resources in operations, many small and medium-sized businesses are still grappling with fundamental questions: Which applications offer the greatest benefit for my business? Which solutions are suitable for our goals? And how can we build expertise in this area?

This is exactly where the event comes in. Renowned experts from research and the business world will deliver keynote presentations highlighting which AI skills will be in demand in the future, how digital transformation can be achieved step by step, and which application examples are already being used successfully today. In addition, they’ll provide valuable insights into how small and medium-sized enterprises can sustainably implement new technologies and provide targeted training for their employees.

Technology and training go hand in hand

A key message of the event is that the introduction of new technologies and the training of employees are two sides of the same coin. After all, it is ultimately people who determine the success of digital transformation. That is why, in addition to the technical potential of AI and automation, the event also focuses on how companies can prepare their teams for this transformation.

An Opportunity for Personal Exchange

The event contributes to the future strategy of the Ludwigsburg district and, in addition toexpert presentations, offers ample time and space for personal exchange, networking, and individual consultations on the topics of AI, continuing education, and transformation. Company representatives thus have the opportunity to address their specific questions on-site.

Organizers, Partners, and Supporters
The event is organized by THE CHÄNCE – Continuing Education Scout for the Stuttgart Region, in cooperation with the Stuttgart Region Digitalization Center, the Ludwigsburg District Economic Development Agency, and the Knowledge Foundation @ Reutlingen University (KFRU) at Reutlingen University, as well as with the support of the Ludwigsburg District Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK). The event is aimed at executives and those responsible for digitalization in companies in the manufacturing, retail, and logistics sectors.
