From first aid for children to dealing with ADHD and high sensitivity

In October and November, the "Help for Single Parents" department of the Ludwigsburg District Office will once again be offering seminars in room 401 of the district hall (Hindenburgstraße 40). Childcare is offered for both events. Seminar participation and childcare are free of charge.

Tuesday, October 7, 2025: First aid FreshUp for children

A child suddenly can't breathe, has a high temperature or has an unfortunate fall - what to do? In the first seminar on Tuesday, October 7, 2025, Wael Hamaydeh offers a two-hour first aid refresher workshop on children from 4 to 6 p.m. and answers precisely these questions. The experienced first aid trainer knows from his own experience how challenging everyday family life can be. With a great deal of calm, humor and empathy, he shows how to act quickly and safely in the most important emergencies - without any previous medical knowledge.

The focus is on real everyday situations: What helps in the event of choking? How do I recognize pseudocroup? When is a febrile convulsion dangerous? And what do I do if I have a laceration? Specific action steps will be demonstrated to give you more confidence in the event of an emergency.

Please register by calling 07141 144-42781 or sending an e-mail to Sonja.Ohren[at]landkreis-ludwigsburg.de. Childcare is planned in group room 237.

Tuesday, November 25, 2025: Highly sensitive or AD(H)S after all?

On November 25, 2025, Manuela Waida, alternative practitioner, family and personality coach, will host the seminar entitled "Highly sensitive or AD(H)S after all?" from 4.00 to 5.30 p.m.

Fidgety, dreamer, sensitive and then suddenly a powder keg? Does your child have stomach aches, sleeps badly or finds it difficult to concentrate?
Perhaps the child is one of the 20 percent of highly sensitive people (HSP = High Sensitive Person). HSPs absorb more information and stimuli than their fellow human beings. This can quickly put the nervous system under stress. The aim is to better understand what constitutes high sensitivity and how it differs from AD(H)S. With concrete tips and suggestions, it is easier to overcome the challenges of everyday life together. It will also become clear what wonderful gifts the child has - and how these can be transformed into real strengths.

Please register by calling 07141 144-42781 or sending an e-mail to Sonja.Ohren[at]landkreis-ludwigsburg.de. Childcare is planned in group room 237.
