November 29 to December 2: L 1115 between Großbottwar and Forsthof will be temporarily closed

From November 29 to December 2, forestry workers from the district administration will be removing individual trees that pose a potential danger to road traffic on the L 1115 state road between Großbottwar and Forsthof (Steinheim).

A roadblock is featured with a red and white barrier, and a circular road sign indicating 'no entry.' There is a yellow sign pointing to the right labeled "Umleitung," which means "detour" in German. Several warning lights are positioned at the top of the barrier.

Many of these trees are affected and weakened by ash dieback. For this reason, the road must be closed to traffic during this period. The Forestry Department asks for your understanding. A detour is signposted via Kleinbottwar.

Forest trees along roads require special care and attention in order to minimize the risk of falling trees or falling branches on the road. The Forestry Department of the Ludwigsburg District Office monitors the public roads in the immediate vicinity of the forests. The situation on some stretches of road is becoming significantly worse due to ash dieback. Interventions in the trees must therefore be carried out from time to time in order to effectively prevent these dangers.
