Full closure of the K1667 near Remseck-Hochberg on January 31

The K1667 in the area of Heilbronner Straße in Remseck/Hochberg will be fully closed on Saturday, January 31, 2026. The reason for this is necessary tree maintenance work on the steep slope above the road in the so-called "Mittlerer Weinbergen".

A red and white barrier blocks a deserted road flanked by green trees. Two red traffic lights indicate the closure of the road ahead, signaling to drivers that passage is restricted.

The K1667 in the area of Heilbronner Straße in Remseck/Hochberg will be fully closed for tree maintenance work on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

There are numerous dead trees on the slope that are no longer stable. Ash trees are particularly affected, as they have been severely damaged by the drought of recent summers and ash dieback. Some trees have already fallen and pose a considerable safety risk.

Specialist company in action

The work in the slope area is being carried out by a specialist company on behalf of the roads department of the Ludwigsburg district. In order to carry out the felling work safely and to create sufficient space for the machines used, it is essential that the road is completely closed.

During the closure, traffic will be diverted locally via the K1668 and the K1673 (via Hochdorf and Poppenweiler). Once the work has been completed and the roadway cleaned, the K1667 will be reopened to traffic immediately.
