Full closure from January 27 to the end of March: renovation of district road 1632 between Freudental and Tripsdrill leisure park

Preparatory work for the renovation of the district road between Freudental and the Tripsdrill amusement park will begin on Monday, January 27, 2025. For this purpose, district road 1632 will be fully closed between the access road to the city of Bönnigheim's chaff cutting area at the junction of the K 1632 from the L 1106. Access from the state road 1106 to the Bönnigheim chopping area and the Krappenberg hiking parking lot will still be possible.

The renovation of the district road 1632 is urgently needed, as the road surface shows a lot of damage, especially in the edge area, and can no longer cope with the current traffic load.

In the first two weeks, tree felling and maintenance work will be carried out along the K 1632, which would otherwise not be possible under traffic conditions. The road construction company's construction site will also be set up during this period.

Work on the roadway will begin on February 10, 2025

Work on the roadway will begin on Monday, February 10, 2025. First, a total of six amphibian culverts will be installed underneath the existing roadway between the "Amann-Weg" hiking parking lot and the district boundary and the area adjacent to the road will be profiled. Once the amphibian culverts have been installed, a new asphalt structure will be laid over the existing carriageway. The existing topsoil banquettes will then be removed and stabilized with concrete up to the delineators. This construction method will make it possible in future to safely avoid trucks or buses in oncoming traffic. Finally, the drainage troughs will be rebuilt and permanent amphibian fencing will be installed at the edge of the forest. The work should be completed by the end of March.

As soon as the road construction work in the Heilbronn district area has also been completed as part of a later construction project, the frequent closures of the section of road during the amphibian migration will no longer be necessary.

The extensive renovation work this winter and the reinforcement of the verges are being carried out on behalf of the Ludwigsburg district authority. The district is investing around 800,000 euros in maintaining its infrastructure.

The district office asks all road users for their understanding for any traffic obstructions, especially in the detour area.
