Full road closure from October 14: Road builders from the district administration are repairing the K 1698 between K 1697 and Neuer Bahnhofstraße

From next Monday, October 14, the K 1698 near the Vaihingen train station will be completely closed because the road builders from the district administration are fundamentally renovating the roadway.

A roadblock is featured with a red and white barrier, and a circular road sign indicating 'no entry.' There is a yellow sign pointing to the right labeled "Umleitung," which means "detour" in German. Several warning lights are positioned at the top of the barrier.

The existing asphalt layers will be removed and new base, binder and surface courses will be laid. The construction work is expected to be completed in four weeks. The total cost of the work is around 420,000 euros.

The local detour leads via the L 1125 / K 1697 traffic circle and is signposted.

The P+R parking lot at the railroad underpass will not be accessible during the construction period. Parking spaces are available in the newly built parking garage at the bus station.

The district administration office asks all road users for their understanding for the disruption.
