The District's Diversity at the Main Agricultural Festival

The Main Agricultural Fair at Cannstatter Wasen runs through October 4. Visitors still have the opportunity to stop by the Ludwigsburg County booth in the Hall of Regions and learn about tourism opportunities, culture, and the wine region within the county.

Tourism, Culture, and Regional Diversity

Together with its tourism partners Kraichgau-Stromberg Tourismus e. V. and 3B-Tourismus, the district will be providing information in Hall 4—the Hall of Regions—under the umbrella brand “Echt.Schön.Schräg.” about day trip destinations, bike trails, and cultural offerings in the region. In addition, clubs, museums, and other partners will present their offerings at the booth, with different groups featured each day. Many of the guests will also contribute to the stage program in Hall 4 (Hall of the Regions), offering insights into the district’s cultural, tourist, and culinary diversity. On the topic of “Steep Slopes—A Strong Piece of Home,” District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier will take questions in a panel discussion with Ingersheim Mayor Simone Lehnert, Mundelsheim Mayor Boris Seitz, and Württemberg Wine Princess Anna Maria Joos on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the main stage in Hall 4. The discussion will be moderated by Regina Steinhauser, assistant principal of the Bad Waldsee Agricultural School.

Discover Steep-Slope Wines

Also participating is the Württemberger Weinbergwerk eG, which will showcase the steep-slope vineyards along the Neckar and Enz rivers as well as the joint wine brand “N&E.” Anyone interested in learning more about the wines can take part in a wine tasting. The tastings, which last about an hour, feature four wines and cost 20 euros per person. Available spots can be requested—subject to availability—through the Ludwigsburg District Office (tourismus[at]landkreis-ludwigsburg.de).
