If the weather is good, the sale will take place in front of the entrance to the County Administration Building. If the weather is bad, the saplings will be sold in front of Room 243 on the ground floor.
Ginkgo saplings in three sizes
There’s something for every garden and every budget: a small ginkgo tree is available for 5 euros, a medium-sized ginkgo for 10 euros, and a larger sapling for 40 euros.
All proceeds will go toward the fundraising campaign and will be forwarded 100 percent to the beneficiaries.
Tour Ginkgo Brings Aid to the Forefront
District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier is this year’s patron of Tour Ginkgo. This year, the Christiane Eichenhofer Foundation’s charity bike tour made a stop in the Ludwigsburg district to raise funds for Aufwind e. V. – Bunter Kreis Ludwigsburg.
From July 9 to 11, 2026, around 100 cyclists were on the road in the district. Over three days, the tour covered nearly 300 kilometers through the region. So far, around 100,000 euros have been raised for Aufwind e. V. The fundraising campaign will continue until the end of the year.
Support for Families with Seriously Ill Children
Bunte Kreis supports, advises, and accompanies families with premature babies as well as children who are seriously or chronically ill. The organization helps families cope with the unique challenges and stresses associated with a child’s illness.
By purchasing a ginkgo sapling, residents can support this important work. At the same time, the tree serves as a visible symbol of solidarity and hope.
