Event on July 12 on the topic of addiction: When addiction affects the family and the environment

Addiction is an issue that affects all sections of the population and is widespread. Addiction does not stop at age, gender or income, can affect anyone and often affects those around them. On Saturday, July 12, 2025, a public event on the topic of addiction and its effects on relatives and their environment will take place in Steinheim/Murr at 3 pm.

Addiction is still often treated as a taboo subject, which makes it difficult for relatives and those affected to seek help. The event entitled "When addiction affects the family and the environment" is intended to raise awareness and show possible ways out of this situation.

The event, organized by the Kreuzbund-Diözesanverband Rottenburg/Stuttgart e.V. and the local addiction officer of the Ludwigsburg district, starts at 3 pm in the Blankensteinhalle (Schulstr. 25 in 71711 Steinheim/Murr) and ends at around 5:30 pm. The organizers cordially invite interested parties - participation is free of charge.

The program includes a keynote speech by guest speaker René Oehler, psychologist and psychological psychotherapist from Ludwigsburg. In addition, the SNF Theater (Sarah Gros) will perform a play entitled "What Relatives Experience". Afterwards, there will be time for an exchange on various offers of help for those affected and their relatives.
