Heiner Pfrommer, Head of the Department of Labor, Youth and Social Affairs, welcomed the attendees on Tuesday, July 28. Jürgen Kessing, Lord Mayor of Bietigheim-Bissingen, and the other representatives of the 3B municipalities Heike Eckert-Maier, First Deputy Mayor of Besigheim, Andrea Joos, City of Bönnigheim, and Eric Reiter, 3B Tourism Team Bietigheim-Bissingen, then opened the exhibition in the district hall and looked forward to welcoming numerous visitors.
The date of the exhibition was chosen appropriately, as the 3B cities opened the office of the 3B tourism team almost exactly 20 years ago to the day, on August 1, 2000, and are thus celebrating their anniversary. Mayor Kessing is proud of the fact that eight other municipalities have joined the 3B cities trio over the years and that a 3B country has formed as a result. As outstanding projects, he mentioned, for example, the hiking trail signage with 130 kilometers of circular hiking trails, the "3B wine highlights" pleasure hiking day, but also the numerous advertising events and marketing campaigns of the 3B tourism team at home and abroad.
The reason for this exhibition is the "Regional Window" project, in which towns, institutions and tourism organizations can present themselves in the district hall. Until October 8, 2020, the 3B towns and municipalities will be promoting a visit to the Kreishaus to guests. The stand, which is illustrated with many striking sights from the 3B region, can be visited during the regular opening hours of the Kreishaus. Visitors should note that wearing a face mask is mandatory in this area. The distancing and hygiene rules must also be observed.
Interested visitors can obtain cycling and hiking maps, historical city tours, as well as the comprehensive 3B travel guide, which summarizes city and costume tours, viticulture and gastronomy, as well as culture and nature. These information and map materials can be used to plan exciting and enjoyable excursions, cycling tours or hikes in the Neckar, Enz and Stromberg region, true to the Swabian motto: "Dahoim isch's au schee". In addition to the eponymous 3B towns, 3B-Land also includes the neighboring communities of Erligheim, Freudental, Gemmrigheim, Kirchheim am Neckar, Löchgau, Mundelsheim and Walheim.
