First, starting Monday, July 27, 2026, NetzeBW will carry out safety work on a power cable along the K 1625. In August, preparatory work will then be carried out for the continued construction of the roundabout in the area of the stormwater retention basin, before the final phase of the intersection reconstruction begins. The construction work will cover the shoulder area north of the K 1625, the access road to the wastewater treatment plant and to the Blatt company, as well as the area around the stormwater retention basin. This will affect passenger vehicles, trucks, and bus traffic.
Impact on Traffic
During this phase, through traffic on the K 1625 and the K 1623 access road to and from Gemmrigheim will flow as usual. However, the northern access road to the wastewater treatment plant and the Blatt company will be closed. The detour through the residential area will be signposted as it was during earlier construction phases.
Increased Traffic Volume Due to the Closed Neckar Bridge in Besigheim
Due to the necessary closure of the Besigheim Neckar Bridge, there will inevitably be increased traffic volume at the K 1623/K 1625 intersection and in Kirchheim. To optimize traffic flow at the B27/K1625 intersection (Max-Eyth-Str.) in Kirchheim, traffic crossing the Neckar Bridge will be regulated by a traffic controller. This traffic control is expected to be implemented in August. This measure is independent of the construction work at the roundabout and will be reversed once the Neckar Bridge can be reopened to traffic.
