Süwag site and hydropower plant visited

After a two-year break due to the coronavirus, District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier invited the former mayors of the district and their partners to the former mayors' meeting again this year.

A diverse group of about 40 adults stands together in front of a modern building. They are smiling and dressed in a mix of formal and casual attire, indicating a social or professional gathering. The setting appears to be outdoors with a paved walkway.

Once again this year, many former mayors of the district and their partners took the opportunity to meet their former colleagues. The joint excursion took over 50 participants to Pleidelsheim.

First of all, there was an opportunity to exchange ideas and talk over coffee and cake in the citizens' hall in Pleidelsheim. Mayor Ralf Trettner presented the municipality's current projects. This was followed by a tour of the Süwag site in Pleidelsheim. The manager there, Michael Meyle, informed the participants about Süwag's work. The group was also able to visit the hydroelectric power plant. The district administrator reported on the district's current issues and gave an insight into the day-to-day political discussions, in particular the gas shortage and the challenges faced by local authorities in accommodating refugees. Finally, the joint excursion ended with a dinner in the Bürgerstuben in Pleidelsheim together with district administrator Dietmar Allgaier.
