Student representatives of the HVF hand over donation cheque for flood relief - District Administrator Allgaier: "This is proof of their empathy and sense of responsibility"

On Friday morning, representatives of the student committees of the Ludwigsburg University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration and Finance (HVF) presented District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier with a donation check for 2,135 euros for the flood relief fundraising campaign.

A group of five people stands together indoors, holding a large donation check labeled "SPENDENSCHECK" with the amount of €2,150. They are smiling and dressed casually, emphasizing the spirit of charitable giving and community support.

At the cheque presentation from left: Rebecca Brudy (1st Chair of the Training Staff Council of the Public Management and Digital Administration Management degree programs at HVF), Simon Rehmann (1st Chair of the General Student Committee at HVF), District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier, Max Karrenführ (1st Chair of the Student Council at HVF) and Kai-Michael Kohlmetz (2nd Chair of the Training Staff Council of the Public Management and Digital Administration Management degree programs at HVF).

District Administrator Allgaier expressed his sincere thanks for the cheque and said: "The fact that HVF students are also contributing to flood relief with a donation cannot be appreciated highly enough. They are demonstrating empathy and a sense of responsibility for the community. We will also pass this money on to the people, associations and institutions affected by the floods in order to alleviate the hardship caused."

Kai-Michael Kohlmetz, Deputy Chairman of the HVF Training Staff Council, said at the donation handover in the District Administrator's office: "Students from all the affected districts of Baden-Württemberg study at our university and many have families, friends and acquaintances who have been directly affected. It was therefore important for us as students to be able to contribute to direct aid." The sum of 2,135 euros was collected during a fundraising campaign at the HVF summer party. Professors at the university and the Rector of the university, Dr. Iris Rauskala, donated a wide range of activities that students were able to bid for, such as a Viennese coffee party or a joint visit to a VfB match.

The relief funds for private households, associations and institutions affected by the floods have been increased to 1,000 euros for private households and 5,000 euros for associations and institutions. The increased relief funds are emergency aid. The funds will be used for urgent repairs, replacement purchases and the restoration of destroyed equipment.
