State-certified specialist for home economics: Ceremonial awarding of certificates at the Middle Neckar Nutrition Center - New specialist class starts in September

Twelve graduates of the further training course "State-certified specialist in home economics" recently received their certificates at the Mittlerer Neckar Nutrition Center. Lidia Stuber-Verebelj, Chair of the Examination Board from the Stuttgart Regional Council, was responsible for the ceremonial presentation. In her welcoming address, she emphasized the great social importance of domestic care and support services as an indispensable pillar of public services and quality of life.

A group of approximately 20 people stands together in a spacious indoor area, holding certificates. They are smiling and dressed in a variety of clothing styles. Behind them are displayed informational posters. The atmosphere appears celebratory and supportive.

Reason to celebrate: twelve graduates of the "State-certified specialist for home economics" course recently received their certificates (Ludwigsburg District Office).

After intensive theoretical and practical training phases as well as a challenging oral examination day, the next step is now imminent for eleven of the graduates: preparing for the final vocational examination to become a housekeeper.

Career prospects in a system-relevant occupational field

The further training qualifies students for a wide range of tasks - from food preparation to business organization and personal services. Whether in retirement homes, agricultural households or daycare centers - housekeeping specialists create feel-good spaces and take on responsible tasks.

The focus is always on people. Anyone who wants to develop their career or open up new perspectives as a career changer will find this vocational training course an attractive option.

"The free vocational training is an added value for both employers and employees," says Ludmilla Scheel, Head of the Middle Neckar Nutrition Center. "The companies can further develop employees without a vocational school qualification or career changers and receive well-qualified and practically trained specialists. At the same time, training to become a state-certified specialist in home economics provides a foundation for a career in home economics." Scheel goes on to report that it is not uncommon for women who have passed the specialist examination to also take the final vocational examination to become a state-certified home economist and complete further training to become a master of home economics and even an agricultural teacher and consultant. "It's exciting for me," says Scheel, "when I meet former students who I taught myself as colleagues in workshops or as teachers in the classroom."
