Safely into the cycling season

A free bike check will be offered on Tuesday, March 21, at the Carl Schaefer School in Ludwigsburg: During the bike check, small technical problems are fixed on the spot to make the bike roadworthy.

From 12:30 to 15:00, pupils and anyone else interested will have the opportunity to have their bike checked by an expert team.

The project "Energy-saving models at schools in the district of Ludwigsburg", together with the service provider Radolino from Heidelberg, is offering four bike checks for participating project schools. The campaign is supported by the state initiative RadKULTUR. After the Oscar-Walcker and Robert-Franck-Schule vocational schools kicked things off on March 13, the campaign will continue on March 21 with the Carl-Schaefer-Schule. The campaign aims to motivate people to get on their bikes more often and have them checked for the coming season.

In the morning, pupils' and teachers' bikes will be checked. From 12.30 p.m., the bike check will also be offered to the public. The aim is to check as many bikes as possible and make them safe.

The RadCheck will take place in the bicycle parking lot of the Carl-Schaefer-Schule - at the intersection of Elmar-Doch-Str. and Hohenzollernstraße. Prior registration is not necessary.

Info: The cooperation project "Energy saving models at schools in the district of Ludwigsburg" of the city and district of Ludwigsburg was successfully launched in October 2021 with 12 schools of different types. The aim is to promote topics such as climate protection and sustainability in schools and encourage participation.
