The Hungarians will spend a total of seven days visiting the CSS and the district of Ludwigsburg. The program includes a visit to Ludwigsburg Castle and the city of Tübingen as well as a city rally in Ludwigsburg.
The school partnership between the Carl Schaefer School and theCorvin-Mátyás Gimnázium Budapest has existed since 1989. The school partnership was officially sealed in 1999, a tree planting ceremony was held at CSS in 2015 to mark the 25th anniversary of the partnership and the 30th anniversary was celebrated with an evening event at CSS in 2019. The student exchanges have been taking place regularly since 1994. However, they had to be canceled from 2020 to 2022 due to coronavirus.
CSS is a district-owned vocational school, while the Corvin-Mátyás Gimnázium Budapest comprises both a general and a vocational high school.
