School kindergarten for physically disabled children in Ludwigsburg-Hoheneck has a new name

The school kindergarten for physically disabled children in Ludwigsburg-Hoheneck celebrated its 50th anniversary last year. This anniversary was also accompanied by a name change. As the facility, which is run by the district, is located not far from the banks of the Neckar in Hoheneck, it is now called "Schulkindergarten am Neckarufer". The location enables the staff to take the children on short excursions along the banks of the Neckar and offers many other advantages.

It is now common practice to use the name of the facility as a reference to its location. This is also the case for other special education and counseling centers run by the district. Now that the Stuttgart Regional Council has also approved the change, the new name is now official:

Schulkindergarten am Neckarufer
School kindergarten for physically disabled children
Ludwigsburg

Since August 1, 2019, the school kindergarten on the banks of the Neckar has also had a new director. Maria Guerrero-Muñoz has been working at the kindergarten since 2013 and has also been the group leader during this time. The district was able to recruit her as Rita Stadler's successor. At the Ludwigsburg-Hoheneck school kindergarten, 14 children are currently looked after by nine specialist teachers, three special education teachers, four support staff and one person doing a voluntary social year. For the coming school year 2020/21, two positions for a voluntary social year will be available again from September. Interested parties are welcome to apply to the school kindergarten on the banks of the Neckar.
