Representatives of the school authorities and Nina Bähnk from the state education authority paid tribute to Krause's work over the past ten years. Andreas Eschbach, Head of Central Management and Schools at the Ludwigsburg District Office, gave a word of welcome and presented a gift. In addition to the teaching staff, the event was also attended by current school management colleagues, close companions and Krause's family.
School as a place of community and diversity
Since 2015, Krause has led the school at Favoritepark with pedagogical clarity and foresight, said Eschbach in his welcoming address. His work has always focused on the pupils - with the aim of supporting them individually and giving them space to develop. "For you, the school is a place of learning, growth and community - a place where every person is valued," the head of department emphasized in his speech.
According to Eschbach, Krause also placed great value on strong cooperation within the school community and on collaboration with specialists, parents and extracurricular institutions. Under his leadership, the school also developed into a well-networked educational location regionally.
Forward-looking leadership - even through times of crisis
Even in difficult times, Krause proved to be a reliable and forward-looking principal. During the coronavirus pandemic, he kept the school on a stable course. He was also quick to recognize the need for additional space resulting from the Liebenau Foundation's new inpatient residential facility - whereupon an additional floor was added to the school's extension.
Last but not least, he was involved in the preparations for the introduction of the nationwide legal entitlement to all-day care. Schule am Favoritepark will be involved in the implementation as a pilot school from the 2026/27 school year.
