Dazzling beauties: Butterfly exhibition of the Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Park e.V. in the Ludwigsburg District Office

From February 5 to March 17, 2025, the Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Park is presenting this year's special exhibition "Iridescent Beauties - Butterflies in the Nature Park" as part of the "Regional Window" exhibition in the district building (Hindenburgstr. 40) of the Ludwigsburg District Office.

A booth display featuring colorful banners with butterfly designs and an informational poster about butterfly conservation. There is a bookshelf holding various pamphlets and a wooden sculpture of a butterfly. The backdrop is a black curtain, providing contrast to the vibrant colors of the display.

The exhibition in the district hall offers interesting and exciting facts about butterflies and moths (Ludwigsburg District Office).

A collection of pamphlets related to nature experiences and a nature park are displayed in the foreground. One pamphlet features a donkey on the cover, while others showcase butterflies and landscapes. In the background, a decorative butterfly and a banner about the nature park are visible.

In the coming weeks, the Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Park e.V. will be displaying the exhibition window in the Ludwigsburg District Office and giving a foretaste of the butterfly exhibition, which will be on display at the Zaberfeld Nature Park Center from 21 May to 21 September 2025. The exhibition takes visitors into the fascinating world of butterflies and offers interesting and exciting facts about butterflies and moths.

The mysterious transformation from caterpillar to butterfly can be followed live in rearing boxes. Hands-on stations and a butterfly quiz invite visitors to make playful discoveries. An extensive accompanying program with lectures, guided tours and activity days delves deeper into the topic and offers young and old exciting insights into the life of butterflies. Further information on the exhibition can be found at www.naturpark-sh.de.

The "Regional Window" can be viewed in the foyer of the Kreishaus during normal opening hours:

Nature park brings unique landscape to life

The Stromberg-Heuchelberg Nature Park e.V. has set itself the goal of preserving the unique landscape of its wine and forest region and making it accessible to visitors. It covers four districts (Ludwigsburg, Heilbronn, Enzkreis, Karlsruhe) with an area of around 41,000 hectares. The nature park is a habitat for rare plants and animals. More than a third of its area is a Natura 2000 site and is part of Europe's special natural heritage.

The beauty of the landscape can be discovered on walks, hikes or bike tours. Numerous adventure trails and a wide range of guided tours offered by nature park guides allow visitors to get to grips with nature. The nature park's leitmotif "Wine. Forest. Feel good" reflects the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.
