Start of the "Stromer" and "WeinKulTourer" leisure bus season on May 1: for cyclists, hikers and day-trippers

The leisure buses in the Ludwigsburg district - the Stromer and the WeinKulTourer - start their new season on May 1st. The leisure buses transport cyclists, hikers and day-trippers to interesting places and beautiful landscapes at the weekend. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the start of the Stromer had to be postponed by over a month.

A red bus labeled "STROMER" approaches along a winding road lined with greenery. The bus is on its route, showcasing a rural landscape in the background, with trees and hills visible under a clear blue sky.

On the road again from May 1: the "Stromer" and the "WeinKulTourer".

The "Stromer" cycling and hiking bus runs on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays from Bietigheim-Bissingen via Löchgau - Erligheim - Bönnigheim - Freudental to Kirbachtal and also makes detours to the Tripsdrill adventure park. Those interested should check the current opening times of the adventure park and the wildlife paradise. The WeinKulTourer route runs from Marbach via Erdmannhausen - Steinheim - Großbottwar - Mundelsheim and Hessigheim to Besigheim.

The Stuttgart Transport and Tariff Association (VVS) fare applies on the buses along the entire route, and bicycles can be carried free of charge on a trailer.

In the leisure bus brochures for the Stromer and the WeinKulTourer, those interested will find attractive excursion and leisure tips, cycle tours and hiking routes as well as a profile of the towns, communities and parks along the route. The brochures can be downloaded from the Ludwigsburg district homepage. You can also find suggestions on the Orange pages of the VVS.
