All-round service from January 18

Vaccination against COVID-19: all-round service from January 18 for senior citizens with walking disabilities who are eligible for vaccination

From January 18, the DRK district association is offering an all-round service for COVID-19 vaccinations for senior citizens who are eligible for vaccination: Eligible senior citizens who are disabled and dependent on a wheelchair can take advantage of the service by calling the hotline number 07141 120222: The DRK then arranges both vaccination appointments for the senior citizens entitled to the vaccination, organizes transport to the district vaccination center (KIZ) in Ludwigsburg and back home from the KIZ after the vaccination. The drivers accompany the person to be vaccinated to the KIZ.

The appointment service can also be used without transportation. The hotline also advises callers on the question of possible cost coverage by the health insurance company as well as on the possibilities of transportation lying down. The transports are carried out in compliance with all hygiene measures.

"This is an important service that is certainly used by many senior citizens who are cared for at home or are dependent on help. I am very grateful to the DRK district association in Ludwigsburg for this initiative," says District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier. The District Administrator hopes that there will be more such offers in the near future.
