The vernissage of the exhibition "Ay-Tom - Art as Recycling" is on Thursday, April 11, 6 pm. On display are works whose components themselves are always unique and tell a story - colorful, lively and always surprising. Leyla Aydin is an artist and runs a café in Gerlingen. She uses waste materials to give them a new meaning in an artistic way. Guests at her café noticed the exhibits she displayed there and brought her other materials for further artistic processing. Leyla Aydin now regularly organizes art workshops for children and young people in her café. "The core idea of Ms. Aydin's art fits perfectly with our company motto: avoid, recycle, dispose. We want to avoid waste wherever possible and then recycle it in the best possible way instead of simply disposing of it. The art on display here adds a fourth keyword - "refine"," says Tilman Hepperle, Managing Director of AVL about the exhibition.
