Award ceremony for the photo competition "My favorite place in the steep slope" in the district hall

The three winners of the district's photo competition under the motto "My favorite place in the steep slope" were awarded prizes on Wednesday (11 September) in the district hall. First place went to Stefan Frank with a photo of the steep slopes near Mundelsheim, second place went to Konrad Scheller, also with a photo from Mundelsheim, and third place went to Irmgard Rahn with a picture of the Kirchheim wine terraces. Heiner Pfrommer, head of the district council, congratulated the three winners and presented them each with a culinary treat package from the Steillage at the award ceremony. The winning pictures were chosen by a jury of representatives from tourism, the press and photographers.

Irmgard Rahn's picture takes 3rd place.

This photo competition is intended to draw attention to the unique cultural landscape of the steep slopes in the district of Ludwigsburg, said department head Pfrommer at the award ceremony, and thus support their preservation. The selection was not easy in view of the 70 landscape photographs submitted. "The three winning images reflect the diversity of the steep slopes and their different facets and show how colorful and livable our district is," concluded Pfrommer.

The photo competition, which ran from April 1 to June 30, called for "the most beautiful, most atmospheric or most detailed photo in and from the steep slopes of the district". The three winning images show the district with the highest proportion of terraced vineyard slopes in Germany from its most beautiful side and will therefore also be used in future for the district's marketing projects - including the planned steep slope information app.
