Prizewinners' concert of the 57th "Jugend musiziert" regional competition in the Ludwigsburg district

A total of 220 young musicians aged between five and 20 took part in the 57th "Jugend musiziert" regional competition. At the concert on Sunday (February 2), all prizewinners presented their outstanding musical achievements to around 700 guests in the Ditzingen town hall. District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier, who is also the patron of the regional competition, presented the certificates together with Mayor Michael Makurath and said: "I am delighted with the high number of prizewinners. This proves once again that we have many talented young musicians in our district."

In his welcoming address, District Administrator Allgaier emphasized that the promotion of music is of great importance to the district council and to him personally. The district has therefore been happy to support the regional competition for many years. He also thanked the jury members of the two-day competition, most of whom teach at the music schools: "Our music schools in the district are very well positioned. It is your commitment and the high musical quality that you teach the children and young people in music lessons that makes these great results possible."

The "Jugend Musiziert" regional competition took place for the 18th time at the Glemsaue school center in Ditzingen. On two competition days, the competitions in various categories were held in public. All participants who achieve a score of at least 23 points qualify to take part in the state competition. The state competition will take place from March 25 to 29, 2020 in Tuttlingen and Waldstetten. The third round of "Jugend musiziert", the national competition, will be held in Freiburg from May 28 to June 4.
