Reviewing the partnership between the districts

Dr. Christoph Scheurer, District Administrator of the partner district of Zwickau, recently paid a final farewell visit to District Administrator Dietmar Allgaier on his retirement. Scheurer has been in office since 1991, making him the longest-serving district administrator in Saxony and the third longest-serving in Germany.

Two men are standing together, smiling. One is holding a pen and positioned near a podium or lectern with an open book on it. They appear to be engaged in a professional setting, likely participating in a formal event or meeting.

District Administrator Scheurer first signed the Golden Book of the Ludwigsburg district,
then Allgaier and Scheurer, together with the department heads and the parliamentary group chairmen
of the district council, reviewed the partnership between the Ludwigsburg district and the district of
Zwickau (formerly the district of Glauchau, then the district of Chemnitzer Land).
District Administrator Allgaier thanked Scheuerer for "the good relations and the joint projects
over more than three decades". The partnership had helped to bring German
unity to life.

The partnership developed after reunification from the help provided by the district of Ludwigsburg
in setting up a public administration based on the West German model.
To this day, there is a lively exchange at the administrative level, and the next visit by representatives of the district of Ludwigsburg is planned in a few weeks
. The districts of
would like to share their experiences of taking in Ukrainian refugees.
The district of Zwickau is regularly represented with regional specialties at the Spätlingsmarkt
in the district hall. In return, the district of Ludwigsburg visits the annual travel fair in Zwickau in January
