The training was prepared and implemented by Katharina Binder, social planner at the district office, as part of the implementation of the district-wide "Inclusion in daycare facilities" concept. Well over 100 people, in some cases entire teams, registered. "This topic is a major concern for many professionals," Hoffer knows from experience.
The aim of the concept is to ensure that as many children as possible can attend a daycare facility in their place of residence. If professionals feel strongly challenged by individual children and are unable to find solutions, this can lead to difficult situations in the facility. "We want to find good long-term answers to this in our district and support the professionals in doing so," says Katharina Binder. Claudia Lychacz, the new representative for the interests of people with disabilities, also briefly introduced herself to the professionals.
The training event will be offered again next year due to high demand.
