Places still available on the "Basic knowledge for supporting people with care needs" training course

The seminar to impart basic knowledge for supporting people with care needs will take place for interested citizens on Friday, July 8, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the residents' and family center in Kornwestheim.

Anyone who is thinking about supporting a person with care needs from their family, circle of friends or someone in the neighborhood with everyday activities will receive practical tips and assistance on this afternoon that will make it easier to deal with the following topics:

  • Getting dressed,
  • eating and drinking,
  • giving support when getting up, sitting down and walking as well as
  • handling walking frames and wheelchairs.

The aim is for participants to gain confidence in the way they can help another person. Lisa Debautzki (health and nursing professional, Kornwestheim church social care center) and Martina Glock (PflegeFrei advice center, Ludwigsburg district office) will be available as speakers and contacts for this afternoon.

The event is part of the Kornwestheim training series "Want to help? " of the PflegeFrei model project, Ludwigsburg District Office. The aim of the model project is to support family caregivers in taking time off to plan.

Registration is now possible at the PflegeFrei advice center: 07141 144-69971, pflegefrei@landkreis-ludwigburg.de. Participation in the event is free of charge.
