Until July 21, 2025: City cycling in the district of Ludwigsburg - pedaling for more sustainable mobility, climate protection and health

City cycling in the district of Ludwigsburg started on July 1, 2025. Until July 21, the motto is: collect kilometers, strengthen team spirit and pedal together for more sustainable mobility, climate protection and health.

Two cyclists ride along a winding path through a lush green landscape. The scene depicts a peaceful outdoor setting with blooming flowers and trees, suggesting a leisurely day in nature.

"The city cycling campaign is firmly established in our district. Almost all municipalities in our district are taking part again, the motivation is high and the local commitment is great," says Julius Scholl, coordinator for mobility and climate protection at the district administration office.

Anyone who wants to take part can still form teams, register and cycle off

Whether to work, to school or in your free time - every kilometer counts. A small-scale competition creates additional excitement: Companies, schools, clubs - all can form sub-teams (for example for departments or school classes) and compete against each other within the main team. Schools can also register for the special school cycling competition this year.

If you would like to take part, you can still form teams, register and start cycling. Further information and registration at www.stadtradeln.de/landkreis-ludwigsburg

City cycling is a campaign by Climate Alliance Services. All cycling municipalities are supported by the State Ministry of Transport: Initiative Radkultur pays the participation fees and provides advertising materials and templates.

The Cycling Culture Initiative

The Cycling Culture Initiative wants to encourage people to switch to cycling. Because if you cycle, you are doing something good for yourself and at the same time contributing to more environmentally friendly mobility step by step. The focus is on one goal: to make cycling a matter of course through effective and creative communication. To achieve this, the initiative brings movement to cities, municipalities and companies. With campaigns, activities and strong partners, it makes cycling visible, tangible and attractive in everyday life. Whether it's to work, school or the shops: Anyone who gets on their bike is not only moving themselves, but also doing something for the climate.
