He was then personal advisor to the managing director of Wirtschaftsförderung Region Stuttgart GmbH and head of the projects GesundheitsRegion Stuttgart, Hochschul- und Wissenschaftsregion Stuttgart e.V. and AFRESH, regional and municipal health strategies for eight European regions. Since 2011, he has been Professor of Public Law, specializing in administrative law, social law and European law at Kempten University of Applied Sciences and has also been Dean since 2016. He has also worked as an expert for the European Commission for the Horizon 2020 funding program since 2017.
"During the election campaign, you addressed important topics, such as the networked and modern city, sustainable urban development, education from kindergarten to working life, the care situation for families, the conscious and responsible treatment of the environment and the needs of young people, but also the elderly and people in need of help," said District Administrator Haas. It is essential to focus on the issues that are important to people. Mobility is also a key issue: "In view of congested traffic routes and high levels of air pollution, the city divided by the Stuttgarter Straße must consider how it wants to ensure the mobility necessary for citizens and the economy in the future and which measures are best suited to this. Simply speeding up and increasing the frequency of existing bus services could significantly improve the traffic situation. Another key building block for this would undoubtedly be the light rail system, which has been worked on for many years together with other cities and municipalities. He hoped and wished that the cooperation between the city and district of Ludwigsburg would be good and based on trust.
Turning to Lord Mayor Dr. Knecht, the District Administrator conveyed his best wishes and stated: "Ludwigsburg is a dynamically developing, attractive city - with all its advantages and challenges. That is why the office of Mayor of Ludwigsburg brings with it great responsibility, but also many creative opportunities. I wish you success, strength and the necessary bit of luck for the tasks ahead."
